About
Alvaro Donoso, M.D., moved to the United States from Ecuador at age 16 to complete his high school education at the Armand Hammer United World College in Montezuma, NM. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience, biology and Spanish at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. After working as a postdoctoral clinical research fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA, he joined the DeTar Family Medicine Residency program. Dr. Donoso is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with the patients and communities he serves.
